Induction Mode – Bringing Cool Fresh Outdoor Air Directly to the Occupied Zone
The SunCooler™ has four autonomous operating modes. One of its most powerful is Induction Mode. In this mode the SunCooler opens its internal dampers and pushes large volumes of outside air downward in a high-velocity turbulent column that strikes the floor and mixes throughout the occupied zone.
Unlike Exhaust Mode (which pulls hot air from the ceiling and draws replacement air through any available openings that may not be at floor level), Induction Mode creates positive pressure and delivers cool fresh outdoor air directly to the occupants and lower racks. The air column reaches the floor, providing powerful psychrometric cooling and air velocity exactly where it is needed most.
Built-in temperature and humidity sensors work with SunConfig programming to automatically choose Induction when outdoor conditions are beneficial, or switch to Exhaust if needed preventing counterproductive warm or humid air from being introduced.

Extremely well. The high-velocity downward column reaches the floor and flows into dense rack aisles and lower storage levels, areas that Exhaust Mode (which pulls from the ceiling) often cannot reach effectively.
7. Is Induction Mode useful year-round?
Yes. In summer and shoulder seasons it brings in cool outdoor air for free cooling and ventilation. In cooler months it can still be used selectively when outdoor conditions are favorable, while the same unit switches to Destratification for heating savings or Nightflush for pre-cooling.
8. How is Induction Mode scheduled or triggered?
Through the intuitive SunConfig GUI you can set daily schedules with any fan speed and duration, or let temperature, humidity, or CO₂ sensors trigger Induction automatically for truly hands-off operation.
